Homework at Melbourn Primary School We set homework for 2 main reasons. Firstly to encourage links between the school and parents, helping you to become more involved with your children's school work. Secondly to help reinforce your child's learning. Homework is always related to your children's work in school and should not be something unfamiliar. The tasks will always be explained to your child by the teacher setting the work and will be at an appropriate level.
Homework includes spelling investigations, learning of key mental maths facts, reading and set activities related to numeracy and literacy with occasional tasks related to other curriculum areas.
Expectations for homework and suggestions for parental comments can be found in the front and back of the KS2 homework books.
